Put Your Foot Down... Adelaide
Congratulations Adelaide! Not only did you break all your previous fundraising records set but you made sure our “Put Your Foot Down” walks for 2018 finished exactly the way we want them to continue in 2019!
Our 7th annual Adelaide walk held on November 4 broke its previous record set in 2016 by over $10,000 and raised an incredible $38,628 (and donations are still coming through) for Pancreatic Cancer research to improve survival rates.
We also had the highest individual fundraiser, Sarah Sain ($7,280) and highest team fundraisers, Team Janeway ($14,020) across all walks for 2018.
A very big thank you to our Adelaide coordinators, Scott and Alison, for again organising the walk and the army of volunteers required to run a successful walk. We would like to especially thank Kate and Scott Crawshaw for all their help and support over the years as the 2018 walk marked their final year. They have both worked tirelessly for the Foundation at the Adelaide walk and they will be greatly missed.
A big thank you to the team from Woolworths for once again looking after the BBQ and feeding our hungry walkers. Also, St. John’s Ambulance for making sure all our walkers were safe once again.
We couldn’t raise the maximum from our walks without the continued support of our amazing corporate supporters; Woolworths Group, Beak & Sons, Coca-Cola Amatil, Red Jelly, Wellcom Worldwide and muk Haircare who have supported all our 2018 walks.
Most importantly we want to thank each and everyone who attended the walk, who dressed up, fundraised, shared or tagged a photo or just had a conversation about the walk. Your efforts all make a huge difference and we couldn’t achieve our results without your help.
