Australian Pancreatic Cancer Genome Initiative

The Australian Pancreatic Cancer Genome Initiative (APGI) is part of the International Cancer Genome Consortium (ICGC) a worldwide collaborative effort to catalogue the genomic and epigenomic abnormalities in the top 50 Cancers. Each Country has taken on a different cancer with Australia taking on Pancreatic Cancer. Our funding for the Garvan Institute is going towards this hugely important Initiative.

The Lustgarten Foundation (USA)

The Lustgarten Foundation supports Pancreatic Cancer research to advance the science and medicine related to this disease, and provides accurate, free information to patients and caregivers.

Nursing Service for Pancreatic Cancer patients and their families

The Centre for Community-Driven Research, a not-for-profit organisation have a free, nursing service for Pancreatic Cancer patients and their families. Pancreatic Cancer sufferers or their families can book in a time with a nurse, who will help navigate all the services available and make sure that there is a good care plan in place. The service is a phone call and is available to any Pancreatic Cancer Sufferer or their family in Australia.
