Scientists from Australia and the UK have created a biosensor mouse that can predict the spread of Pancreatic Cancer.

Dr Paul Timpson of Sydney’s Garvan Institute of Medical Research, co-led the research alongside Professor Kurt Anderson of the Beatson Institute for Cancer Research, UK. The biosensor mouse makes it possible to look in real time at a primary tumour before it has start to spread and researchers can see at a molecular lever when cells have started to unzip – a sign that the cancer is about to spread to other parts of the body.
