Going Purple For Pancreatic Cancer

Wednesday, 05 July 2017 Posted in News, 2017

On the weekend of Saturday, June 24 and Sunday, June 25, soccer players across Sydney whose teams had supported the popular #GoingPurpleForPancreaticCancer fundraiser, donned the very distinctive Purple Avner socks to play their games.

This initiative started by our new Governor, Isabella Di Manno, is continuing to grow each year. We are so grateful to Isabella for not only coming up with this fantastic idea but also giving so much of her time and effort into the event to ensure it is such a success each year.

The pre-ordered socks cost $15 and all proceeds go to the Avner Foundation in support of Pancreatic Cancer and to raise awareness of the disease and much needed funds for research.

A huge thank you to all the teams who supported #GoingPurpleForPancreaticCancer and to the sponsors who covered the costs of the socks. This ensures that all funds raised can be invested in research to help us achieve our vision of doubling the number of survivors by 2020.

We will keep you informed of the dates for 2018 !

To date Isabella has raised $3,722 and still rising and donations can still be made at;
