Our third biennial Melbourne “Best Things In Life” Dinner generously hosted by Dan Murphy’s was held on Wednesday, April 24 at the RACV City Club. It was an extraordinary evening and more than $200,000 was raised (after costs) to help us achieve our vision of doubling the number of survivors of Pancreatic Cancer by 2020.
A huge thank you to Dan Murphy's for organising and hosting the evening, in particular Campbell Stott, whose support has been unwavering over the three dinners held in Melbourne, and to Yolanda, Sophie and all the Dan’s team for their tireless efforts in making this year’s dinner such a huge success.
We are so grateful to our amazing corporate friends at Red Jelly, Wellcom and Coca-Cola Amatil who have contributed to the Foundation from the very first day and continue to support us at every event. We would also like to thank Willett Marketing for all their help and effort in the lead up to the event and on the night.
A big thank you to Jules Lund for doing a fantastic job of MC, our wonderful auctioneer, Tamara, who made sure the bidding didn’t stall and the maximum was achieved from the live auction. We would also like to sincerely thank Charlene for sharing her story with everyone in the room.
Thank you to everyone who attended, supported the auction and donated on the night. And to the very kind-hearted people who bought prizes on the night and then donated them back to the Foundation or to a Pancreatic Cancer sufferer, your generosity is greatly appreciated.
We would especially like to acknowledge the companies that bought tables and attended the dinner. It was a very special night only made possible by each and everyone who attended and helped out in the lead up and on the night.
