Thursday, 18 June 2015 Posted in Past Events, 2015

Our second Melbourne “Best Things in Life” corporate fundraising dinner was hosted by Dan Murphy’s on Thursday 28th May at Myer Mural Hall. It was a wonderful night!

A big thank you to Dan Murphy’s, in particular General Manager Campbell Stott and Marketing Manager Yolanda Uys, for their support and generosity in coordinating this event. Thank you also to Myer for organising the Myer Mural Hall as the stunning venue for this dinner.

230 guests from many leading companies across Australia attended the evening and we were delighted to receive such positive feedback from them of the event.

Tim Campbell was incredible as MC and he and his band were terrific entertainment throughout the evening. Thank you to Tim for bringing an amazing energy to the evening.

This night saw pancreatic cancer survivor George Hillen speak about his diagnosis with pancreatic cancer, his surgery and treatment, and his incredibly successful trek of Mt Kilimanjaro which has raised $131,728 for research into Pancreatic Cancer for Avner’s Foundation. Caroline Kelly spoke about her own experience and about the efforts of the Foundation to change the outcomes of the disease.

As always, Andrew Caillard was amazing as the auctioneer on the night and ensured the maximum was achieved from the live auction.
